Jessica Moton, LMSW
Jessica is happily married to Damarus J. Moton. They have 2 daughters, Olivia (12) and Alexandria (11), that mean the world to them. Her free time is usually spent watching movies, going on trips, and doing crafts with her girls. She and Damarus also enjoy participating in independent wrestling (yes, you read that correctly wrestling like you see on television). She is originally from South Carolina and moved to Georgia in 2015.
She has held multiple positions in the social services field. She has been an advocate for the Department of Juvenile Justice, case manager for the Department of Family and Children Services, an investigator for the Division of Aging (Adult Protective Services), and a social worker that works with Hospice and palliative patients over their illnesses. Over the course of her undergraduate and graduate degrees, she worked with prospective adoptive parents and helped parents that their children had been removed from the home by DFCS. She worked with these families by completing assessments (Domestic Violence, Substance Abuse, Trauma, and Parental Fitness), family/ group counseling, individual counseling, completing bio/psychosocial assessments and parenting classes. She prides herself in going above and beyond for her patients. At the same time, she is overly honest and will quickly state when she does not know or understand something. She thoroughly enjoys working with patients from a strength based perspective and helping them focus on self-care.
She obtained her Associates in Human Services from Piedmont Technical College and her Bachelor’s in Psychology with emphasis on Counseling from Lander University. She completed her Masters in Social Work from Capella University in December of 2023. She passed the Association of Social Work Boards Masters Examination on January 16, 2025.
