Marlè du Plessis, MS, OTR/L

Marle du Plessis is a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist with NBCOT and the State of GA.  She initially graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 1994 and began her career working with an array of ages, as a pediatric therapist in a special needs school in South Africa before moving to the US where she continued to work as an Occupational Therapist.  Marle has over 30 years of experience working in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings, public and private school settings as well as acute- and long-term rehabilitation.

Marle is passionate about working with children of all ages, young adults, and has spent the largest part of her career working with these populations.  She specialized her work experience and continued education in the field of Autism Spectrum, Learning Disabilities, ADD/ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders, Behavioral and Anxiety disorders, as well as other developmental disorders and intellectual disabilities.

Marle is passionate about serving others through a holistic approach, she uses sensorimotor and multi-sensory approaches to intervention in order to foster and develop greater independence in activities of daily living, academics, functional participation, and vocational skills.  Additionally, she enjoys working closely with her families by providing education and training on home methods and techniques to optimize independence and generalization of skills across all environments.

Marle has three lovely children; she values her family and enjoys spending her free time with them.  She also enjoys playing tennis, guitar or doing crafts, spending time with friends, listening to music or going on hiking trails.
