Roshonda Lankford Haynes

Shonda Lankford Haynes, MS, OTD, OTR/L

Shonda is an Occupational Therapist who received her bachelor’s of science degree in Occupational Therapy in 2000. She also holds a Master’s degree and has a Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. Shonda has worked in pediatrics for over 20 years. Shonda brings with her a wealth of management experience. In 2004, she co-founded Helping Hands Therapy, a therapy company based in Alabama with a focus on helping children and adults primarily in rural settings. As Director of Business Development at Helping Hands Therapy and along with the company’s co-founder, Shonda has helped to significantly increase company revenue, customer service satisfaction, and the number of total contracts- all making Helping Hands Therapy one of the largest pediatric therapy companies in Alabama. While performing her management duties, Shonda has served on multiple boards and as a mentor to many clinicians. She has also worked hand and hand as clinical advisor to several clinicians. Shonda has a variety of specialized training and certifications in many programs including Interactive Metronome, Interactive Listening System, and Handwriting Without Tears. She has also received training with the Alert Program and The Astronaut Program and is knowledgeable regarding various treatment modalities including the Wilbarger Brushing Protocol, the “How Does Your Engine Run?” program and Brain Gym. Shonda brings many years of working with children with various diagnoses such as Autism, PDD, ADD/ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and Learning Disabilities. She feels extremely fortunate to be able to help individuals reach max potentials through her work as an OT.
